How TetraSan 5 WDG Miticide Works

TetraSan 5 WDG Miticide comes in water-dispersible granules and contains etoxazole as the main ingredient. This active substance inhibits the mites' biosynthesis inhibitors and stops the molting process of mite larvae and nymphs. Although it has limited activity on the adults, it causes sterility in the females and stops the chain of infestation. Because of its translaminar properties, the active ingredient moves through the leaf surfaces and targets mites as they feed, providing excellent control from outside and within the plant.

Where to Use TetraSan 5 WDG Miticide

Use TetraSan 5 WDG Miticide on ornamental plants, including bedding plants, foliage plants, ground covers, shrubs and nonbearing fruit and nut trees. It also protects against mite damage on Christmas trees and indoor-grown tomatoes. TetraSan 5 WDG works in greenhouses, plant nurseries and ornamental landscapes where mites wreak havoc on trees and plants.

TetraSan 5 WDG MIticide Target Pests

With TetraSan 5 WDG, you can target mites at every life stage. It prevents mites from maturing into adults, stops eggs from hatching and makes the female adults lay sterile eggs. Use it to kill two-spotted, spruce and citrus red spider mites on flowering plants and ornamental trees. It also wipes out other mite species such as:

    • European red mites
    • Lewis spider mites
    • Southern red mites
    • Pacific spider mites
    • McDaniel spider mites
