How Does Astro Insecticide Work?

Permethrin, a synthetic version of naturally occurring pyrethrins, attacks the insects' nervous system and causes paralysis. However, the permethrin doesn't kill the pests right away. Once an insect contacts or ingests Astro insecticide, it carries it back to the colony and spreads it through contact to other insect members. Afterward, the infected pest dies, followed by other insects in the colony. Because Astro contains 36.8 percent permethrin, it's a highly effective pest control product for use in professional settings.

Where Do You Use Astro Insecticide?

Use Astro Insecticide to combat pest insects in residential and commercial greenhouses. It's also useful for treating infestations in lawns, flowerbeds and landscaped areas. Apply Astro on the outside surfaces of buildings, such as the foundations and perimeters. You can also spray it on residential ornamentals, including fruit and nut trees in backyards.

Astro Insecticide targets more than 40 different tree- and lawn-damaging pest insects. It kills ants, aphids and fungus gnats and prevents infestations in and around homes and businesses.
