Hyvar X Broadleaf Weed Killer Herbicide

Usually Ships in 1-2 days
For residual control of weeds and brush, Hyvar X Herbicide kills unwanted species and provides long-term results. It comes in a wettable powder and mixes with water for use as a nonselective spray on broadleaf weeds and grasses in noncrop areas. It takes Hyvar X several weeks to kill weeds but prevents further growth for months. The weeds absorb the active ingredient through the roots. As it circulates throughout the plant, the chemical interferes with photosynthesis and eventually kills the entire weed.

How Hyvar X Herbicide Works

Hyvar X Herbicide contains bromacil, a chemical compound that provides effective results in nonselective herbicides. Although this active ingredient stops photosynthesis in the weed, it takes a few weeks for the plant to die. However, the bromacil lingers in the soil and keeps pest weeds and grasses from growing in the target area. Hyvar X works best when it's applied to moist soil and has ample water within two weeks of the initial application.

Where to Use Hyvar X Herbicide

Use Hyvar X Herbicide on noncrop sites where weeds interfere with native grasses and plants. It kills weeds and woody plants on railroad and highway rights of way, industrial sites and storage areas. It's also useful for combating weed growth along fence rows, in lumberyards and across grassy airport areas. Although Hyvar X is an effective herbicide for many different weed pests, you should not use it on home lawns or recreational areas.

Target Weeds

You can kill common weeds and grasses such as crabgrass, dandelion, foxtail and henbit. It also targets quackgrass, nutsedge, wild carrot and wild oats. With Hyvar X, one application gets rid of:

  • Downy brome
  • Lamb's quarter
  • Ragweed
  • Ryegrass
  • Wild oats
  • Plantain
