PT Ultracide Insecticide 14oz Can

Usually Ships in 1-2 days
Fleas are resistant pests and require serious insecticides for complete elimination. Even if the adults are killed, the eggs may still remain buried in carpet fibers and hatch later, causing another infestation. PT Ultracide Insecticide not only kills adult fleas but also controls the larvae and the eggs. It has a faster kill rate than similar insecticides and is specially formulated for the removal of fleas from indoor spaces.

How PT Ultracide Insecticide Works

Some insecticides contain pyrethrins; others contain synthetic pyrethroids. PT Ultracide Insecticide contains both to provide effective pest control against nuisance fleas as well as ticks that have invaded interiors.

Pyrethrins are completely organic, naturally derived substances from chrysanthemums and target the pests' nervous systems. It causes hyperexcitation in the muscles until the pests become paralyzed and die. Ultracide also contains permethrin, a synthetic version for even more effective control. It acts on the pests in the same way as pyrethrins and eliminates the fleas more quickly thanks to the paired ingredients.

PT Ultracide Insecticide takes it one step further and includes an insect growth regulator known as pyriproxyfen. It inhibits the life cycle of the larvae and the eggs, preventing them from reaching adulthood. If the young can't mature, they can't cause another infestation. Therefore, Ultracide is an effective adulticide and IGR for killing and controlling mature fleas, the larvae and the eggs.

Where to Use PT Ultracide Insecticide

Use PT Ultracide Insecticide indoors to control fleas and ticks. It should not be applied outdoors due to its multi-ingredient formulation; it could pose a risk to beneficial insects. Spray it in areas where the fleas hide and breed, such as in carpets and furnishings. The IGR penetrates deep into the carpet fibers and upholstery to inhibit larvae growth and egg development.

It's important to prepare the treatment area before applying Ultracide. Vacuum the target site thoroughly to suck up as many eggs and adult fleas as possible. Make sure to discard the used vacuum bag in an outdoor trash bin to prevent reinfesting the interior. When treating the target area, use a sweeping motion with the aerosol to cover the surface evenly. Ultracide can be applied again in 14 days if adult fleas are seen.
