How PT Alpine Pressurized Insecticide Works

PT Alpine is a pressurized aerosol insecticide and contains the active ingredient dinotefuran 0.5% formulation, a paralysis-inducing ingredient that targets numerous pests. PT Alpine Pressurized Insecticide is a reduced risk nonrepellent aerosol that targets the central nervous system, it's not a pyrethroid as is seen in other contact-kill insecticides. Dinotefuran belongs to the neonicotinoid class and has a low toxicity to people and other mammals. It targets the nerves and overexcites the muscles, leading to hyperactivity to the point of paralysis; the insects die within minutes after contact.

The active ingredient Dinotefuran in PT Alpine Insecticide isn't a repellent and doesn't provide residual control. Therefore, Alpine should only be used for killing insects on the spot, not for long-term pest prevention. The insects must directly come into contact with Alpine for it to work. The active ingredient has no effect once it has dried on the surface.

Where to Use PT Alpine Insecticide Aerosol

Use PT Alpine aerosol insecticide indoors and outdoors to kill various nuisance pests on contact. It's not only labeled for use in and around homes but also commercial businesses such as offices and restaurants. It's safe to use Alpine in transportation vehicles to knock down insects, such as ships and trains. Spray it directly on the insects in cracks, crevices, voids and spots where they travel, nest or breed.

PT Alpine insecticide aerosol EPA has granted Reduced-Risk status for public health use. Therefore, it can be used in and around sensitive areas like hospitals and nursing homes. The reduced risk EPA status not only makes it safe to use around people and pets but also in the environment without posing harm to plant life. Some common areas for use include:

• Apartments
• Campgrounds
• Hotels
• Schools
• Warehouses

Note: PT Alpine insecticide aerosol should only be applied to nonfood areas of restaurants, food-processing plants and other similar sites.
