Conserve SC Turf and Ornamental Specialty Insecticide contains spinosad, a natural substance that is made by soil bacteria. It's highly toxic to insects, affecting their nervous system as they eat or touch the substance. After contact or ingestion, the insects' muscles flex uncontrollably. This reaction leads to total paralysis and then death within one or two days. Though spinosad kills various insects, it is low in toxicity to humans and most other mammals.
Use Conserve SC Insecticide in residential lawns, greenhouses and on athletic fields to control and prevent insect infestations. Lawn care operators can use Conserve SC Insecticide on commercial landscaping, and arborists find it useful for preventing insect damage on trees and shrubs.
