With 97.4 percent acephate, Orthene PCO Insecticide targets and kills pest insects that have grown resistant to other pesticides. Once contacted or ingested, it coverts to methamidophos, a stronger insecticide and affects the insect's nervous system. The insect then experiences over-activity in its nerves and muscles and eventually dies. Acephate also penetrates leaf surfaces, providing quality control over many different leaf-damaging insects such as aphids and leaf miners. Orthene PCO comes in pellet form, dissolves easily in water and produces less residue dust than similar pesticides.
Implement an Orthene PCO Insecticide treatment program on sites where pests congregate, invade or breed. Though Orthene pellets are not for use in residential homes, they provide effective control in residential yards and keep infestations in check. The pellets also help to maintain commercial landscapes and prevent unsightly ant mounds from forming throughout the property. Use Orthene PCO pellets for controlling infestations in:
