How Nuvan ProStrips Work

Nuvan ProStrips contain dichlorvos, also known as DDVP. This active ingredient is a powerful enzyme inhibitor that targets an insect's central nervous system. It's infused into a plastic strip and forms a vapor once the ingredient comes into contact with the air. The DDVP releases slowly over time, providing a constant level of treatment in the target area. Although DDVP is highly toxic to insect pests, it poses little risk to people and pets such as cats and dogs.

Where to Use Nuvan ProStrips

It's best to use Nuvan ProStrips in enclosed spaces such as attics and garages to target various insect pests. Use it in cabins, crawlspaces, bathrooms and sheds to keep out flying and crawling insects. Never use ProStrips in areas where people congregate for long periods, such as in bedrooms, kitchens and living rooms. Some common areas for use include:

  • Closets
  • Offices
  • Storage units
  • Trash bins
  • Utility rooms
