What is a Surfactant and an Adjuvant?

An adjuvant is an additive that increases herbicide, insecticide or fungicide activity. A surfactant is a type of adjuvant that enhances wetting and spreading of the product. Combined together, both a surfactant and an adjuvant keep the pesticide on the leaves and help it to penetrate the leaf surfaces for better results. When you use a pesticide without Cide-Kick II Surfactant Adjuvant or a similar adjuvant, you may see a significant reduction in the product's activity.

How Does Cide-Kick II Surfactant Adjuvant Work?

Cide-Kick II Surfactant Adjuvant nonionic spray adjuvant contains 100 percent D-limonene, isomers and select emulsifiers for improving herbicide uptake and penetrating the leaves and bark of herbaceous and woody plants. When it's mixed in the tank and sprayed with a compatible herbicide, Cide-Kick II keeps the product on the target area, reduces runoff and increases the effectiveness of the active ingredients.
