How CoreTect Insecticide Tablets Work

CoreTect insecticide tablets contain many active ingredients to target a variety of pest insects. The primary ingredient is imidacloprid, a highly effective substance that disrupts an insect's internal system and kills it slowly over time. In fact, this substance not only kills pests after digestion but continues to control infestations for as much as two years. Because CoreTect contains nitrogen, phosphate and potash, it helps the trees, shrubs and plants to grow healthier and more resilient against pests.

Where to Use CoreTect Insecticide Tablets

Use CoreTect insecticide tablets anywhere pest insects have invaded or may infest ornamental plants and trees. Apply it to sites where established trees and foliage may be at risk of plant-damaging insects. It also protects newly planted seedlings and keeps infestations from overtaking ornamental trees and shrubs in commercial settings.

Target Pests

CoreTect targets, eliminates and controls dozens of invasive plant insects throughout outdoor landscapes and interior plantscapes. It destroys mealybugs and psyllids, as well as knocks out and prevents adelgid infestations. Other target pest insects include:

  • Aphids
  • Black vine weevil larvae
  • Flathead borers
  • Lace bugs
  • Leaf beetles
  • Sawfly larvae
  • Thrips
  • White grub larvae
  • Whiteflies

Tips for Using CoreTect Insecticide Tablets

  • Do not use CoreTect on edible vegetation.
  • Use two or three tablets per foot of shrub height.
  • Treat newly planted trees and shrubs for maximum protection.
  • Irrigate the target area after treatment for the best results.
  • Do not apply more to an area than is recommended.
