How Optimate CS Insecticide Works

Optimate CS microencapsulated insecticide contains gamma-cyhalothrin, a more potent active ingredient when compared to lambda-cyhalothrin. Though both ingredients provide generalized pest control, gamma-cyhalothrin kills insects twice as fast. This active ingredient is classified as a pyrethroid and affects the insects' central nervous systems. After coming into contact with the ingredient, the insects lose much of their ability to function and become paralyzed before dying.

Where to Use Optimate CS Insecticide

Use Optimate CS insecticide outdoors to reduce the pest population in backyards, on commercial landscapes and throughout recreational fields. It can be applied directly to lawns and ornamental shrubs and trees without the worry of harming the vegetation. However, it should not be applied to edible crops. Apply it as a spot treatment on sidewalks and driveways or as a crack and crevice treatment around schools, stores, hotels and apartment buildings. Optimate CS is ideal for use anywhere pests have grown to infestation levels and require fast and immediate attention.

Target Pests

Optimate CS insecticide is a Controlled Release Insecticide and general-purpose pest control product as it targets numerous flying and crawling pest insects. It reduces the spider population around homes and businesses and keeps fleas and ticks from spreading throughout lawns and feeding on people and pets. Some common target pests include:
