How Safari 20 SG Insecticide Works

Safari 20 SG Insecticide contains 20 percent dinotefuran, a fast-acting ingredient that targets an insect's central nervous system and renders it immobile. Upon contact, the pests can no longer function properly and die. This systemic insecticide penetrates and circulates throughout the plant, offering broad-spectrum control over invasive, plant-damaging pests such as the glassy-winged sharpshooter. Use it to reduce existing insect populations and prevent further pest infestation.

Where to Use Safari 20 SG Insecticide

Use Safari 20 SG insecticide in areas where insects threaten plants, such as in gardens and interiorscapes. It works to provide total protection against sap-sucking insects in residential and commercial landscapes and knocks down pests from ornamental plants and shrubs in the lawn. Safari 20 SG prevents leaf damage from beetles and other pests in plant nurseries and applies easily as a soil injection, a spray or a drench. Common areas in which to use Safari 20 SG include:

  • Enclosed structures (greenhouses, plant nurseries)
  • Interiorscapes
  • Recreational landscapes
  • Industrial fields
  • Flowerbeds
  • Ground covers

You can use Safari 20 SG on indoor-grown edible plants such as peppers, tomatoes and cucumbers. It also works on leafy vegetables that are grown as transplants and only before they are sold.
