Surflan AS Specialty Pre-emergent Herbicide contains 40 percent Oryzalin. This ingredient interferes with weeds at the cellular level, inhibiting growth and germination. Surflan must be applied before the weeds emerge from the soil; it doesn't control existing weeds. It comes in liquid form and applies easily with a sprayer to the target area.
Spray Surflan AS pre-emergent herbicide for effective weed control on established turf like Bermuda and St. Augustine. Use it to prevent weed growth around landscape and container-grown ornamentals, including the bulbs and any groundcovers. It works to stop weeds from growing and taking over Christmas tree plantations, including nonbearing fruit and nut tree sites.
Surflan AS specialty pre-emergent herbicide controls annual weeds and grasses such as chickweed and barnyardgrass. It chokes bluegrass and henbit before they have a chance to grow and to compete with other plants. Some of the common target weeds and grasses include:

Its effective formula prevents weeds from growing and developing seeds, thus preventing a weed infestation in areas where ornamentals and nonbearing trees are grown. If weed growth threatens planting and noncrop sites, use Surflan AS herbicide to stop annual broadleaf weeds and grasses below the soil.
It is a violation of Federal law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling. Do not apply this product in a way that will contact workers or other persons, either directly or through drift. Only protected handlers may be in the area during application.
